Ottsville

Ottsville

According to its recent Wikipedia page, “Ottsville is an unincorporated community in Tinicum Township in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, though parts of Ottsville are in neighboring Nockamixon Township. Ottsville is located at the intersection of Creamery Road/Geigel Hill Road and Durham Road north, a short distance east of Pennsylvania Route 611.

Ottsville is located just 35 miles from Philadelphia, and just 74 miles from New York City, affording easy access to both major cities. Of course, from Ottsville, other popular Bucks County towns, such as xxx, sss, and yyy, are readily accessible for your pleasure, educational, or job-related purposes.

According to information posted at https://www.livingplaces.com/PA/Bucks_County/Tinicum_Township/Ottsville.html, “Ottsville is one of the oldest villages in northern Bucks County. The first settlers in the area were Scotch-Irish Presbyterians, who founded a church in Ottsville around 1738. The village was known as both “Red Hill” and “Ottsville” for over one hundred years. The name Red Hill was taken from the red rock and soil on which the village is located. When a post office was established in 1814, the name had been changed to Ottsville because another post office using the name Red Hill was already in Montgomery County.”

Outdoor activities, such as garden tours and canoe/kayak outings are popular reasons for people to travel from miles around to enjoy a day in Ottsville before taking some time to grab a bite in a local restaurant or a treat from the town’s ice cream shop that blends its sustainability mission with a commitment to source local and organic produce, milk, honey, cage-free eggs, fruits and vegetables, etc., for its products.

Residents of Ottsville send their children to schools in the Palisades School District.

Forbes magazine lists experience, track record, and references as three of the top qualities to look for when choosing a Realtor.
